An Atlantic County grand jury has handed up an indictment against 50 year old Joseph J. Melini of Vineland for second-degree vehicular homicide based on his involvement in a motor vehicle crash in 2021.
On October 30, 2021, at approximately 8:10 p.m., Melini was involved in a motor vehicle crash
in the 300 block of Delaware Avenue in Atlantic City, NJ while operating a 2005 Harley
Davidson motorcycle. Melini’s passenger, Naisha Peterson, 36, of Mays Landing, NJ, was
pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of the injuries she sustained. Subsequent
investigation revealed Melini was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the motor vehicle
crash.
