Replacement Of Stone Harbor Bridge

A drawbridge mechanism that has been in use for close to a century is slated for replacement on the primary route connecting Stone Harbor to the mainland. The movable span on the 96th Street bridge connecting Stone Harbor’s main shopping area to Middle Township is scheduled for replacement, according to county officials, with work expected to start in 2025, reports the Press of Atlantic City. A new movable span is expected to be in use by 2028.
