According to the Press of Atlantic City an Atlantic City police detective was suspended after being accused of driving recklessly to the point that he nearly crashed into a patrol car before fleeing an attempted traffic stop.Detective Fariyd Holmes is suspended without pay while the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office investigates, police said in a statement Tuesday.Holmes was charged with eluding, according to a criminal complaint. He is due in Atlantic County Superior Court on Nov. 9.
