Brigantine is dedicating more than $560,000 on increased staffing and enforcement tools to handle short term rental issues.
According to the Press of Atlantic City, the plan is part of an overhaul of how the city deals with the rental properties. The program will be paid for through additional taxes on rental units, according to ordinances introduced Wednesday. A public hearing and final vote are scheduled for Oct. 18. If adopted, the regulations will take effect Jan. 1.
