No Discussion In Council On Rescinding Sanctuary State Status

The Press of Atlantic City reports Atlantic County commissioners refused to even discuss a resolution Tuesday that called for lawmakers to rescind New Jersey’s status as a sanctuary state. No commissioner seconded the motion to consider it, so it died without being debated, and the room full of immigrant community representatives and their supporters erupted into applause. The resolution had no commissioner sponsor, but the chairman said he allowed it on the agenda as a courtesy.
