Underdeck steel repairs are continuing this week on the Great Channel Bridge that connects Middle Township to Stone Harbor. According to the Cape May County Herald, one-way alternative traffic is in place for the next four weeks. Traffic in both directions is maintained, however, only one-way alternating traffic is being permitted to cross the bridge. Traffic approaching each side of the bridge will be maintained by a temporary traffic signal which will allow one direction of travel to proceed at a time. Motorists are urged to use caution when approaching and crossing the bridge and to not proceed until the signal is in the green phase. Slight delays should be expected.
