SIC Police Taking Part In Prescription Drug Take-Back Day

The Sea Isle City Police Department will participate in the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency’s National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day on Saturday, October 28, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM, when the public can safely and anonymously dispose of unwanted or unneeded prescription medications in the lobby of City Hall (Police Headquarters), 233 JFK Boulevard. No liquid medications or sharp objects will be accepted, and all names should be removed from prescription labels to protect your privacy. Vape pens and other e-cigarette devices will also be accepted for safe disposal – however all batteries must be removed prior to drop-off. The SICPD will ensure that all collected items are properly destroyed, so these harmful medications cannot get into the wrong hands.
