Two drivers were injured in a crash Tuesday at Washington Avenue and Fire Road in Egg Harbor Township. The Press of Atlantic City reports it happened before 8am as a 2016 Chrysler 200 driven by Anthony Ruiz, 21, of Blackwood, Camden County, crashed into the side of a 2014 Chrysler minivan driven by April Taliaferro, 43, of Hamilton Township.
Taliaferro was driving west on Washington, approaching Fire, when Ruiz turned left into the intersection, hitting her vehicle, police said. Taliaferro was removed from her car by the Farmington and Bargaintown volunteer fire companies due to the extent of the damage to her minivan. Both Taliaferro and Ruiz were taken by ambulance to local hospitals with minor injuries.
