In Upper Township the 463-foot smokestack of the former B.L. England plant has stood over the Great Egg Harbor Bay for decades.It has served as a backdrop for countless photos, a boundary marker for Cape May County for travelers on the Garden State Parkway and a solid marker for boaters navigating the back bays. By the end of the month, it is expected to be gone, with a demolition set for 10 a.m. Oct. 26 according to the Press of Atlantic City.
