Disturbance Ended, Man Taken Into Custoy In EHT

A man was taken into custody Thursday after an hours-long disturbance at a home near Tremont Avenue and Bates Drive.
The Press of Atlantic City reports authorities arrived at the scene early Thursday morning and the scene was secured about 3 p.m. No one was injured. The investigation is ongoing. Police have not released information about charges.
While police were en route, they received a report from a caller that the man had a firearm and that he may have discharged a round from the weapon. Officers made contact with the suspect when they arrived; however, the man ceased talking with police and ongoing attempts were made to re-establish communication with him. Police said the man was believed to have mental health issues.
