Atlantic City Police arrested three juveniles after they attempted to burglarize and steal two vehicles.
On October 31, 2023, at 5:31 PM, patrol officers responded to the area of North Carolina and Pacific Avenues in reference to three juveniles breaking into vehicles. Officers saw the suspects and upon attempting to speak with them, they all fled. One male, 16, was apprehended after a brief foot pursuit. The male was found in possession of two screwdrivers. Two other males, 12 and 15, were arreste after they surrendered upon seeing the officers. The vehicles, a Hyundai and Kia, both had a shattered window and the ignition was tampered with. The Atlantic City Police Department still has wheel locks available free of charge to Atlantic City residents. They can be obtained at the Clayton G. Graham Public Safety Building between the hours of 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM.
