Two Men Arrested After Heroin Seized In Traffic Stop

he Atlantic City Police Department recovered more than 1,200 bags of heroin stemming from a motor vehicle stop.
On November 18, 2023, at 6:19 PM, Police conducted a motor vehicle stop in the 200 block of north South Carolina Avenue.
During the stop, K9 Gee indicted to presence of narcotics in the vehicle. The driver, 24 year old Kenneth Thompson, and his passenger, 25 year old Kareem Ellerbee, both of Atlantic City, were arrested. Both men were found in possession of narcotics. Thompson was found in possession of 200 individual bags of heroin while Ellerbee had 50 individual bags of heroin, 9 grams of cocaine, and more than $1,100 in cash. A continuing investigation led the officers to a residence in the 1300 block of Caspian Avenue. With assistance from K9 Gee, the officers recovered 1,175 individual bags of heroin. The lessee, Johnette Snowden, was criminally charged but not arrested.
