Chef Michael Schulson’s Izakaya restaurant at Borgata Hotel Casino & Spa will close Jan. 1 after 15 years in operation, the two parties announced Monday. According to the Press of Atlantic City, a news release calls the closure a strategic move that aligns with the evolving goals of both Schulson Collective and Borgata. It also says Schulson plans a new Atlantic City restaurant in 2024. Schulson has 12 restaurants around the country and next year plans to open new restaurants in Atlantic City, Philadelphia, New York City and Miami.
