Pleasantville Garners $788K In State Funds For Projects

Pleasantville has received more than $730,000 in state grant funding for three projects designed to improve pedestrian and bicycle safety throughout the community. The Press of Atlantic City reports Pleasantville was one of seven communities in New Jersey to receive a Transit Village Grant of $378,000 for improvements on Second, Third and Fourth streets, according to a statement from the city. The city also received a $167,000 Bikeway Grant to install bike lanes on Franklin Street and a $188,000 Safe Streets to Transit grant for safety improvements at Woodland Avenue and New Road.
