Somers Point American Legion

In a ceremony in Somers Point, members of the American Legion, local officials and guests gave tribute to the 2,403 U.S. personnel and civilians who died in the attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 7, 1941.“It’s been said many times, if you don’t remember and learn from your history, you’re doomed to repeat it,” said Tom Innocente, base commander for the Atlantic County Chapter of the US Submarine Veterans. “Hopefully by remembering, we’ll never forget.” This was the second time they held it at the Somers Point post.
