Stanley Holmes Village Tenants Demand Action On Poor Conditions

Stanley Holmes Village tenants and advocates argued with City Council Wednesday night over its refusal to hold hearings about the lack of heat and other poor conditions in Atlantic City Housing Authority projects. According to the Press of Atlantic City, residents complained of issues like severe mold and mildew. One woman said, in her case, the authority’s contractors have done no work, even though she was told a month ago a contractor would start on the job. Housing Authority Executive Director Tom Sahlin did not respond Thursday to a request for information on McNair’s unit and when it will be repaired.
