Suit Filed In Case Of Special Needs Student Who Died After Choking On Way To School

A year after they said their 16-year-old special needs child died after choking on his way to a local school, two parents are suing the bus company that gave their boy the ride, claiming catastrophic negligence, according to a 6ABC report. Landon Goff’s parents reportedly announced they sued Sheppard Bus Services, which was responsible for transporting their son from their home in Galloway to Cape May County Special Services School, where he attended 10th grade.
The parents, Aaron Kizer-Goff and Jennifer Spahr, reportedly accuse the bus company of not doing anything to help their son, who they say lost consciousness on his way to school Dec. 1, 2022. A driver and substitute aide were reportedly on board for the approximately 40 minute trip, as well as other students.
