The city of Ventnor received a $200,000 grant from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation to assess the project site for the Ventnor West Eco Park and create its preliminary design, according to a Commissioner. The park will transform Ventnor West, a 150-acre tract of waterfront land owned by the city, into a living shoreline. The project is intended to protect the area’s ecosystem from erosion and environmental degradation, in addition to providing the area with important coastal infrastructure.
