Egg Harbor Township drivers take note. An approximately yearlong detour is expected to go into effect Monday on Somers Point-Mays Landing Road, Atlantic County officials said. To allow for bridge reconstruction, the road will be closed to traffic between Steelmanville Road and English Creek Avenue. Motorists are advised to follow the posted detour and plan travel time accordingly or seek an alternate route.
