Wednesday morning just before 8:30, the New Jersey State Police were dispatched to 1113 Harding Highway, Buena, NJ for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a pedestrian. The initial investigation indicates that a
black 2017 Hyundai was driving eastbound on Route 40 in the area of 1113 Harding
Highway. The Hyundai struck a pedestrian crossing the street. The pedestrian was
pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of the injuries sustained during the
crash. The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office’s Crash Investigations Unit and the New Jersey
State Police are cooperatively investigating this incident.
