Assignment Judge Michael Blee on Wednesday dismissed Maria Lacca’s lawsuit seeking a recount in the Nov. 7 City Council election in Ward 5, saying she didn’t show sufficient evidence of errors in counting. According to the Press of Atlantic City,
Republican Lacca challenged incumbent Democratic Councilman Muhammad “Anjum” Zia in the fifth ward but lost by 44 votes.
She sought a recount claiming there were errors in counting, but Blee said there wasn’t sufficient evidence of errors.
