A Monday fire damaged a two-story apartment building in the 300 block of East Juniper Avenue. According to the Press of Atlantic City, one occupant suffered burns and smoke inhalation. A Wildwood police officer was treated at the scene for minor injuries sustained during a fall on ice. During the two-alarm fire, the roof of the building collapsed, causing firefighters to use two aerial ladders to fight the heavy fire in the cockloft and roof areas. Firefighters then reentered the building and finished putting out the fire.
