More than 3,000 pounds of expired or unwanted medications were collected in Atlantic County in 2023, a local nonprofit says.The initiative was led by Join Together Atlantic County, a substance misuse prevention coalition, in partnership with local law enforcement and government agencies.In Atlantic County, there are drop boxes for unused medications at 17 law enforcement agencies in addition to local pharmacies. The next national drug take back day is scheduled for April 27th.
