Judge Reopens City Ward Election Challenge

A judge on Monday, reports the Press of Atlantic City, reopened a 2023 city ward election challenge case that involves allegations of wrongdoing by political operative Craig Callaway, after Callaway was federally charged Thursday with vote-by-mail fraud related to the 2022 general election. Superior Court Assignment Judge Michael Blee set a new date for continued testimony for 9:30 a.m. March 7 in the Atlantic County Civil Court House. Democratic candidate Viana Bailey is challenging the results of the Ward 2 City Council election after she lost the Democratic primary to incumbent Democratic Councilwoman La’Toya Dunston by just six votes.
