Sea Isle City Council could vote Feb. 27 on a $21 million contract for a new community center from Park Road to Central Avenue at 45th Street. According to the Press of Atlantic City in a message to council Tuesday, Mayor Len Desiderio mentioned the upcoming vote and said Ernest Block and Sons of Philadelphia was the lowest responsible bid when they were opened in December.Plans for a community center have been discussed for years, with the building set to include an indoor walking and jogging path, courts for basketball, pickleball and other games, and meeting rooms.
