Atlantic City’s high school principal is facing official misconduct charges after she allegedly failed to report child abuse. According to the Press of Atlantic City, Constance Days-Chapman is charged with official misconduct, hindering apprehension of another, obstruction of justice and failure to report child abuse. The charges may have cost Days-Chapman her chairmanship of the city’s Democratic Committee. A student informed a school staff member in January that they were being physically and emotionally abused by their parents and they had previously brought up the issue to Days-Chapman, who denied the student had told her about the abuse.
