Atlantic County commissioners have introduced the county’s $262.1 million 2024 budget which would raise about $179.5 million through property taxes. County Executive Dennis Levinson said he expects the tax rate to fall almost five cents, from 43.8 cents to about 39 cents per $100 of assessed property value.About $88.3 million would be spent on salaries and $173.8 million on other expenses, according to the budget, which will have its public hearing 4 p.m. March 26 at the Stillwater Building.
