In Pleasantville a feral cat taken in by a homeowner, who was then bitten, was confirmed for rabies, Atlantic County officials said Thursday. According to the Press of Atlantic City the cat found in the 100 block of Bayview Avenue is the third case of rabies in the county this year. Two racoons in Egg Harbor Township were the other positive rabies cases. The homeowner took in the cat because it appeared ill, officials said in a news release.
