Atlantic City Council this week approved the expansion of its “Green Zone,” opening up more opportunities for the cannabis industry in the resort. The ordinance, brought forward by council Vice President Kaleem Shabazz, was approved 6-3, one more “yes” vote than when it was introduced last month.The Green Zone runs from Boston to Maryland avenues, on both sides of Atlantic and Pacific avenues. The extension will include Kentucky Avenue, from Atlantic to Arctic avenues, and Albany Avenue from the bridge to the ramp/U-turn east by the high school.
