Atlantic city’s high school principal is facing official misconduct charges after she allegedly failed to report child abuse, the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office said Thursday.Constance Days-Chapman is charged with official misconduct, hindering apprehension of another, obstruction of justice and failure to report child abuse.The charges may have cost Days-Chapman her chairmanship of the city’s Democratic Committee. According to a press release the Atlantic County Democratic Chair said he had asked Days-Chapman to “take a leave of absence” from her role as the Democratic municipal chair pending the outcome of her case.
