Millville Army Field Observation Tower

The Millville Army Air Field Museum brought a 45-foot observation tower from World War II back to the Millville Executive Airport for restoration and display after nearly 80 years last week.The tower, one of only two in the area built by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, was used for training P-47 Thunderbolt fighter pilots at an off-site ground gunnery range as part of the Millville Army Air Base, according to a news release.
