The Ocean City school district plans to spend more next year without increasing the tax rate under a $46.2 million budget introduced Thursday. The district expects to see more state aid for the coming school year. Increasing property values mean the district will bring in more money with the same tax rate, set to remain at 19.9 cents per $100 of assessed property value. According to the school business administrator it would mean the owner of a home assessed at $650,000 would pay about $1,294 in school taxes, in addition to county and city property taxes.
