ACPO Advises Houses Of Worship In Active Threat Training

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office was joined by the Coalition for Safe Communities, Pastors
United for Community Service and the Fellowship of Churches for an Active Threat Training this past
Saturday at Stockton University. Detectives from the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office and
Edwin Moore of the Department of Homeland Security, Office of Inspector General, provided leaders
and congregations for Houses of worship in Atlantic County with appropriate training when an active
threat or shooter situation occurs.
Religious leaders were encouraged to conduct site assessments, develop emergency plans with
employees and volunteers and coordinate with other houses of worship and local law enforcement.
