The Atlantic County Animal Shelter is waiving adoption fees for dogs weighing over 25 pounds during a Star Wars-themed “May the 4th Be With You” event, the county said Monday. The promotion is in addition to a 50% discount on fees for senior pets and cats available for immediate adoption. Veterans will also receive a 50% discount if they adopt a pet, according to a news release.
