Attorney Looking For Weekly Payments For Clients From ACHA

An attorney representing more than 130 residents of Stanley Holmes Village, suing over unhealthy conditions there, is asking a judge to require the Atlantic City Housing Authority to pay residents weekly until it follows court orders. The Press of Atlantic City reports Olga Pomar of South Jersey Legal Services filed a motion enforcing litigants’ rights March 27 that asks Superior Court Judge John C. Porto to enforce orders dating back months. Pomar asked Porto to require the Housing Authority to make weekly payments — the amount to be decided by Porto — to residents until the authority has complied with provisions of Porto’s Nov. 2 and Feb. 9 orders.
