A Brigantine man who allegedly struck his girlfriend in the head with a glass vase before cleaning up the scene was ordered held in jail Monday until trial. According to the Press of Atlantic City, 31 year old Kevin Turkvan is charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, domestic violence aggravated assault, aggravated assault with a weapon, terroristic threats, criminal restraint, tampering with evidence and possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose.
The victim told investigators she and Turkvan were at Golden Nugget Atlantic City on April 5 when Turkvan became verbally aggressive and threatened to harm her as they drove home. When police first saw the victim she was in the hospital with serious head injuries.
