The Egg Harbor Township Committee has introduced a 2024 budget that calls for 1.6-cent increase in the municipal tax rate. The $50.2 million budget rose by $1.4 million from last year’s, according to the Mayor as she read the budget statement during the committee’s regularly scheduled meeting.And according to the Press of Atlantic City “This year’s revenue includes use of the remainder of the American Rescue Plan funds that were allocated to the township in 2022 to assist in Covid relief. $1,247,142 will help balance out this year’s budget,” the mayor said.
