U.S. Sen. Robert Menendez is urging the new acting secretary of the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development to take over the Atlantic City Housing Authority. The Press of Atlantic City reports Menendez Thursday talked about ongoing conditions such as water and gas leaks, mold, lack of heat and hot water and more about 45 minutes into a hearing of the Senate’s Committee on Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs. Testifying were interim HUD Secretary Adrianne Todman and Federal Housing Finance Administration Director Sandra Thompson.
