A Philadelphia man who was allegedly on the run from Pennsylvania authorities for six years was arrested March 23 during a traffic stop on the island, reports the Press of Atlantic City. 44 year old Nyieem Ruff was charged with hindering apprehension, identity theft and being a fugitive from justice. Police in Brigantine stopped a vehicle at 2:51 a.m. for driving without tail lights on. When the officers asked the individual, later identified as Ruff, for his license, Ruff failed to present one and gave them a false name. Ruff’s identity was revealed following an investigation, and it was determined he had been wanted by Philadelphia police and the Bucks County Sheriff’s Office in Pennsylvania since 2018.
