The Casino Reinvestment Development Authority reserved $500,000 for an agreement with the city to pay for 15 neighborhood coordination officers as part of the city’s community policing initiative. And according to the Press of Atlantic City the approval will take the program through the end of the year, as the city continues to ween off the CRDA funding, cutting the request in half compared with the $1 million approved last year.The original approval in 2019 was for $1.5 million, covering 15 officers.
