The family of an Atlantic city woman killed by an alleged drunken boater while swimming near her townhouse last summer is hoping to raise awareness of the consequences of boating under the influence with Memorial Day weekend approaching. According to an article in the Press of Atlantic City “Their hope is that some boater will see this or read about it and make the choice to not drink and boat,” said Robert Mongeluzzi, an attorney representing the family. “Had the defendant made that choice, Norma Michaels would be here today and would have been here for Mother’s Day on Sunday.
