On Thursday, May 16, 2024, Harborfields Youth Worker 33 year old Tyrell Jones from Atlantic City was charged with Second-Degree Official Misconduct and Second- Degree knowingly provide an electronic communication device to a person Confined in a County Juvenile Detention Facility. In 2023, the Juvenile Justice Commission provided information to the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office concerning Jones supplying contraband to detained juvenile residents.
During the investigation, Jones was found to have provided detained Harborfields juvenile
residents access to his personal cell phone, a contraband device.
