More than 350 youth submitted applications for the 2024 Summer Youth Work Experience Program, sponsored by the Atlantic County Workforce Development Board. Selected applicants will fill 250 positions offered by 60 local businesses and earn up to $3,200 for eight weeks of work, 25 hours per week. Participants, ages 16-24, gain valuable experience and earn while they learn, say officials, and the employers often find individuals they will continue to employ beyond the summer. At this point, all available positions have been filled and applications are no longer being accepted.
