A Middle Township High School alumna was crowned Miss New Jersey on Saturday night. Elizabeth Mendel, 22, of Cape May Court House, won the competition at Resorts Casino Hotel in Atlantic City.Mendel entered the competition as Miss South Jersey. She competed in a field of 22 contestants from across the state for the ability to represent New Jersey in the next Miss America Competition in January.
