Ocean City Juneteenth

Community members in Ocean City are set to gather Saturday afternoon to celebrate Juneteenth, a holiday marking the end of slavery in the United States.Plans are for an outdoor celebration from 1 to 5 p.m. on Haven Avenue between Seventh and Eighth streets, part of the city’s historically Black neighborhood. The event is free. Juneteenth has been described as America’s second independence day, marking the end of slavery in a remote outpost of the former Confederacy.
