Members of the public have donated more than $45,000 to help cover medical costs for the Lithuanian student who was struck by a bullet in Wildwood on July 9. The Cape May County Herald reports 20 year old Vilte Gruzdyte has been in the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center-Atlantic City facility since being shot near the Cattle ‘n Clover pub and steakhouse on Pacific Avenue. Gruzdyte was not the intended target of the shooter, identified as 40 year old William Hoyle of Wildwood. Hoyle fled the scene but turned himself in to Camden police on July 11.
