Charges Dropped Against Community Activist In 2020 Protest

Community activist Steve Young said Tuesday all charges related to his participation in a July 4, 2020, protest that blocked the Atlantic City Expressway and other roads were dismissed Monday, reports the Press of Atlantic City.
County spokesperson Linda Gilmore confirmed Tuesday that the case was heard Monday in the central municipal court by Judge Marian Ragusa and the charges against Young were dismissed. Young blamed Mayor Marty Small Sr. for what he considers overreaction to the protest, and said Small also had him removed from the city’s Planning Board.
