Brigantine Restricts Cove Beach Access

Access is restricted at Brigantine’s Cove Beach due to erosion. The Press of Atlantic City reports the decision was made after a large structure was exposed, prompted the access restriction from Bay Court to Renaissance Cove. Officials say the structure could be anything from parts of an old hotel to demolition debris from the old Brigantine Bridge, which was demolished and dumped in the water almost a century ago, when the South End of the island used to be a dump site.
