Hispanic Women’s Resource Center

The Hispanic Women’s Resource Center’s Hammonton location is being saved from closing due to last-minute state funding, allowing it to continue providing services to the area’s Latino community. The state’s approved budget allocated an additional $2 million for the Hispanic Women’s Resource Centers of Southern New Jersey. After Gov. Phil Murphy gave his annual budget address in February, the organization realized its funding would drop down to $1 million – about 75% less than last year’s funding.
