Matthew Mazzoni has been named the city of Millville’s newest schools superintendent effective Sept. 1 after serving as district assistant superintendent for two years, the school district said Tuesday. He replaces the man who retired July 1 after nearly 27 years in education. The school board voted unanimously Monday to hire Mazzoni as his replacement through June 30, 2028. His salary this school year will be $203,000, prorated to the Sept. 1 start date. That number will increase to $210,105 in 2025-26, $217,458 in 2026-27 and $225,069 in 2027-28.
